My work as a freelance writer is propelled by intellectual curiosity, or a need to engage in perpetual learning while challenging myself creatively. Freelancing also gives me the flexibility I need to achieve balance, or something much closer to it, between work and my role as a single parent. I aim to use my knowledge and talent to highlight inequalities and injustices linked to social determinants of health.
When not working, you can find me hanging out with a feisty 14-year-old, devouring news reports and other writing, drinking coffee, running, daydreaming about (or actually planning) travel, checking out antique stores or art, and discovering new music and new authors.
